We are recruiting an Interim Planned Works Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Birmingham, supporting property services across the local region on a 6-month contract.As an InterimPlanned Works Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a range of surveying services across housing stock, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, compliant with regulations, and fit for purpose. This is a great opportunity to join a busy, customer-focused organisation and make an immediate impact.Whats on offer:Rate:£35per hourContract:6-month interim assignment (potential for extension)Working pattern:Full-time (3740 hours per week)About the CompanyOur client is a well-established Social Housing group managing a large portfolio of residential properties across Birminhgam and the surrounding areas. They are committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and delivering excellent services to their tenants and communities.Key responsibilities include:Conducting property inspections, including planned works surveysPreparing specifications of work and managing contractors to deliverplanned works projectsFrontline operational role supporting contract delivery and contractor performanceEnsuring all works are completed in line with compliance and health & safety standardsManaging projects within occupied properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residentsLiaising with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communicationMonitoring budgets and ensuring cost-effective delivery of worksProducing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records using internal systemsSupporting the delivery of planned maintenance programmesThe successful Interim Planned Works Surveyor will have:Proven experience in a similar Building Surveyor role, ideally within Social HousingA recognised construction-related qualification (e.g. HNC, HND, Degree in Building Surveying or similar)Strong knowledge ofplanned worksExperience managing contractors and overseeing works on siteGood understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirementsExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and manage a busy workloadStrong IT skills, including Microsoft OfficeThis role would suit an experiencedPlanned Works Surveyor available at short notice, looking for an interim opportunity within a reputable Social Housing organisation.
