Planner\nEdinburgh\n\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planner to join a forward-thinking UK construction and development business known for delivering high-quality, design-led projects across the residential, student accommodation, and build-to-rent sectors.\n\nWith a strong pipeline of secured work and a growing presence in Scotland, this is an ideal opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of a major development in Edinburgh. The company is built on values of collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement, fostering an environment where people are encouraged to develop and perform at their best.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nAs a Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the project team through effective programming, progress monitoring, and project reporting. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analysing detailed construction programmes to ensure that works are delivered on time and in line with contractual and operational requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare, update, and manage construction programmes using recognised planning software (e.g., Asta Powerproject or Primavera).\n\nWork closely with design, commercial, and site teams to coordinate project planning and sequencing.\n\nIdentify and monitor critical paths, key milestones, and potential risks, providing early warnings where required.\n\nProduce regular progress reports and maintain accurate records for internal and client use.\n\nSupport tender and pre-construction activities, including the preparation of baseline programmes and resource forecasts.\n\nContribute to post-project reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nAbout You\n\nProven experience as a Planner within a main contracting environment.\n\nStrong working knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.\n\nProficiency in Asta Powerproject (or similar) is essential.\n\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to work.\n\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with project teams and stakeholders.\n\nWhat ’s on Offer\n\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\n\nThe opportunity to play a central role in the delivery of a flagship Edinburgh project.\n\nA professional and supportive employer with a commitment to innovation, teamwork, and delivering excellence.\n\nLegal Information:\n\nWe act as an employment agency for permanent work and as an employment business for temporary work.\n\nFor roles in the UK, applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.\n\nWe value and promote equality.
