Planning Monitoring Officer
to support a major infrastructure development during the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases. The role will support pre-construction planning activities and ongoing liaison with
local planning authorities and statutory bodies , ensuring full compliance with the terms of a deemed planning permission and associated conditions. Key Responsibilities: Monitor compliance with all planning conditions and consented requirements throughout construction and site restoration. Agree and implement an appropriate programme of site visits. Produce and submit
monthly compliance reports
to the Planning Authority summarising site activities. Identify and report any instances of non-compliance to the Planning Authority at the earliest practical opportunity and
no later than 10 working days
from occurrence. Maintain independence and objectivity while working collaboratively with the project team and stakeholders. Requirements: Independent environmental or planning professional with relevant qualifications. Proven experience acting in a monitoring or compliance role on major development or infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of UK planning permissions, conditions, and regulatory processes. Ability to engage effectively with planners, regulators, and construction teams. Excellent reporting, communication, and record-keeping skills.
