We are seeking an experienced Platers to join a busy fabrication team. The role involves working with structural steel, carrying out fabrication, plating, and assembly tasks to high standards of accuracy and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out plating and fabrication of structural steel components.
Read and interpret fabrication drawings and engineering schematics.
Mark out, cut, shape, and assemble steelwork to required specifications.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to quality standards.
Operate fabrication tools, machinery, and lifting equipment where required.
Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and supervisors to meet production targets.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Plater within a fabrication or structural steel environment. Marine/offshore/oil&gas experience ideal.
Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings.
Strong fabrication, measuring, and marking-out skills.
Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Rates

£23/h Umbrella co first 40 hours
£34.50/h Umbrella co after 40 hours
Can go CIS.

or

£17.17/h PAYE plus £2.07/h holiday pay
£25.76/h PAYE plus £3.11/h holiday pay
Holiday pay can be accrued or advanced
The current contract is for approx. 4 weeks with potential of the role becoming on going
