Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Play Practitioner to join a specialist education provider and support x2 schools based in Norfolk.

About the employer:

You will work with children and young people in two educational settings, who present with a variety of complex needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech language and communication needs, and sensory needs.

Role snapshot:

You will support the Play Therapist with student assessments and interventions , deliver direct and indirect play therapy interventions for both individuals and groups and adapt play activities to suit individual needs.

The successful candidate will facilitate engaging play sessions, measure outcomes against EHCP and Annual Review targets, observe and record progress whilst sharing insight with staff and families. You will also maintain detailed records.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time , 40 hours per week - term time only

Salary - £24,100 - £27,745 (actual term-time salary)

Experience required:

Candidates applying will hold a level 5 or equivalent diploma/certifice in play therapy and have knowledge / experience of working within SEN /care or residential settings, and supporting presentations of Autism Spectrum Conditions, ADHD, and SEMH difficulties.
