The University of Salford is looking to appoint a skilled and reliable Plumber to join its in-house Estates Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large, diverse university estate, helping to keep buildings safe, compliant and fully operational for staff, students and visitors. Estates & Facilities provides a comprehensive service across the University, covering maintenance, compliance, capital projects, cleaning, security and caretaking. The maintenance team plays a critical role in ensuring the campus is safe, welcoming and fully functional every day. The Role As a qualified plumbing and heating professional with a strong practical background and a positive, customer-focused approach, you will carry out a wide range of planned preventative and reactive plumbing and heating works across the university estate, including teaching, research, residential and specialist facilities. . The role is varied, covering everything from routine inspections to fault finding and minor installation projects. You will be part of a professional in-house maintenance team consisting of plumbers, electricians and joiners and supported by handypersons, as and when necessary.
