Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 + Package

About the Company

A well-established and rapidly growing façade remediation contractor specialising in critical life-safety recladding projects across the residential sector. Acting as Principal Contractor, the company delivers schemes directly for Housing Associations, typically ranging from £5m to £10m in value.

With a strong and secure order book—including multiple approved Building Safety Regulator (BSR) projects—the business is recognised for its collaborative approach, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant solutions. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to join the team.

The Role

The Pre-Construction Manager will take ownership of all pre-construction activities from initial enquiry through to handover to operations. This is a key role within the business, responsible for securing new work and ensuring projects are effectively planned, resourced, and set up for successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction activities including sales support, estimating, tendering, and bid management
• Manage the design development process, coordinating consultants and ensuring compliance with building safety regulations
• Oversee procurement strategy and early supply chain engagement
• Develop and manage programmes and delivery strategies, ensuring alignment with operational teams
• Work collaboratively with the construction/operations team to ensure smooth transition and successful project execution
• Act as a client-facing representative, maintaining strong relationships with Housing Associations and key stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement of pre-construction systems and processes

• Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within the façade/cladding sector
  • Proven experience delivering facade remediation / recladding projects, ideally on occupied residential buildings
  • Strong understanding of building safety regulations, with BSR project experience highly desirable
  • Experience working for a Principal Contractor on design and build projects
  • Strong commercial awareness, with experience in estimating, tendering, and procurement
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Well organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
