SEND Teaching Assistant - Mainstream Primary - Tameside
We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a mainstream primary school in Tameside, starting after Easter on a full-time, long-term basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting children with additional needs in an inclusive and nurturing school environment.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Help create a positive and supportive classroom environment
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs)
Experience within a primary school setting is desirable
Patient, nurturing, and able to build strong relationships with pupils
Confident supporting behaviour and promoting engagement
Reliable, proactive, and committed to long-term work
