Calling all Defence Data and Analytics Specialists, are you open to a move? Our busy Decision Support team is looking for a client focussed Principal Consultant with a track record in business development to contribute to our continued success.

The role
Working remotely and from client sites, you’ll provide specialist data analytics consultancy services, supporting our offerings in business intelligence, data visualisation, operational analysis and modelling. As a Principal Consultant, you’ll drive growth by identifying opportunities to develop, enhance, and grow our services whilst leading on the development of tools, methodologies and project lifecycles.
You’ll offer excellent consulting skills, able to build strong relationships with prospective and current clients and collaborate across the business to develop tailored, high-impact solutions. Your expertise, sector knowledge and strategic insight will be instrumental in positioning our services to secure long-term partnerships.
Your role will include:
- Providing data consulting leadership and support across client projects in typically defence, health and other government sectors.
- Business development activities including client engagement, networking, strategic partnering, account management and growth.
- Delivering analysis programmes and leading and developing analytical teams.
- Technical leadership on Decision Support projects, tenders and quotations.
- Taking active steps to safeguard Whitetree customer satisfaction and win repeat business.
- Supporting the Head of Capability to achieve Whitetree business objectives.
Skills & Experience required
- Consultancy experience is essential along with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Experience of working on UK Defence projects, government projects or frameworks.
- Technical skills across one or more of the following:
- Data Science
- Digital Transformation
- Investment appraisals, economic modelling & analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
- Business Analytics
- Business Intelligence & Data Visualisation
- Operations modelling Data Science
- Data and Modelling Assurance
- Delivery and quality focussed, able to meet deadlines, lead QA, mitigate risk and manage change.
- Commercially minded with good project management skills.
- Applied leadership skills, able to coach, mentor, develop and manage others.
- Business development skills, able to deliver compelling client presentations, support winning bids / proposals, identify and capture new business opportunities.
- Current right to live and work in the UK.
- Happy to work remotely and travel to client sites across the UK as required.
- Current SC clearance or willing and eligible to undergo a Security Clearance check*.
