Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Our client is a fast growing contractor, who are looking to develop their in house design team. This is a great opportunity to work on a nice variety of high-profile projects, where you will play a key role within the developing team.

Responsibilities

Develop temporary and permanent works designs for both tender stage and contract delivery stages, including shoring, foundations, and ground stability analyses. Provide guidance and supervision to less experienced design team members and manage external design support. Produce and check calculations, drawings, and technical reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards. Build and continue to develop strong working relationships with clients, both internal and external, designers, and consultancies. Use these relationships to improve design outcomes and identify additional work opportunities. Maintain compliance with relevant procedures and provision of documentation for QHSE and CDM. Ensure design information is timely and of the right quality and level of detail for its purpose. Actively seek and promote modelling and BIM procedures within the project team. Keep up to date with advancements in design, digital technology, and new software.

Requirements
