Job Overview
Principal ICT Engineer – UK‑wide role based in any of our UK offices. Part of the Buildings Technology Services team, responsible for ICT design, project management and delivery from inception to handover.
Responsibilities
- Design IT networks within buildings and implement leading‑edge network designs and technologies.
- Collaborate with multiple design disciplines, including MEP, Smart, AV, and specialist consultants, to deliver holistic solutions.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand, develop and interpret requirements from concept to detailed design.
- Produce detailed design documentation, performance specifications, equipment schedules and feasibility studies.
- Provide design and technical advice on projects led by seniors or act as discipline lead on smaller projects.
- Create and interpret technical documents including reports, diagrams, drawings and specifications.
- Work independently using own initiative with minimal supervision, while also interpreting direction from others as required.
- Communicate complex technical information effectively to clients and non‑technical audiences.
Qualifications
- Passion for the future of technology in the built environment.
- Experience in ICT design and project delivery of medium to large building projects.
- Accredited engineering degree or experience leading to chartership (CIBSE / IET / Engineering Council).
- RevitMEP training applicable to the discipline.
- Any accredited network qualification (e.g., Cisco or RCDD).
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK and ability to obtain SC‑level UK security clearance.
- Strong understanding of specialist building systems such as MEP, BMS, fire safety, lighting, and security systems.
