Essential experience: Design of high complex services subways/routes preferably in a Nuclear/ Regulated environment Regulations, legislation and standards that are applicable to civil/structural design and construction (including Principal Designer responsibilities under CDM) Substantiation of SFR's when identified within systems to support the nuclear safety case Able to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills required in the technical management of complex design development throughout the design lifecycle. Provide expert advice to the sub-contracted design houses to enable them to develop the design. Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice as relevant to discipline, post and project requirements. Experience of working in BIM environments. Awareness of project planning, project management and budgeting. Sound understanding of company and departmental procedures relating to Design, Health & Safety and Quality requirements and ability to manage projects in accordance with these procedures. Collaborate with other design houses regarding the proposed works and the required changes to the subways to facilitate their designs. Support development and lead implementation of assurance and governance activities for subway remedial works and new design development Qualifications Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Chartered Engineer with membership of an accredited body (i.e. ICE) or working towards chartered status. Or significant experience. Due to the nature of the work carried out at our client's site, these roles are subject to specific nationality requirements and are only open to sole British citizens. Candidates who meet this criterion will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting.
