We are a client focused firm based in Hertford, Hertfordshire known for delivering high quality, personable legal services to individuals and families all over the country. We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Private Client Solicitor (3–5 years PQE) to actively develop our Private Client department.

We are looking for a solicitor to grow the department, enhance service offerings and build long term client relationships. You will be supported by the firm but given the autonomy to shape and lead the future of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration, LPAs, and trust
• Taking the lead on business development and marketing initiatives to attract and retain clients
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships with a focus on service quality and continuity
• Developing internal systems, best practices and workflows as the department scales
• Mentoring junior team members and supporting the future growth of the team
  

• Qualified Solicitor with 3–5 years PQE in Private Client law
• Proven ability to manage files independently and deliver excellent client care
• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in developing a department
• STEP qualification is desirable
• Confidence, initiative and a proactive approach
• Current practicing certificate with no restrictions
• Experience of using case management systems preferred
