As Process Group Manager, you'll be responsible for leading Supervisory and support for Technical functions within the Process Group - covering Heat Treatment, Materials Testing, Shot Peening, Non‑Destructive Testing, Surface Finishes, and Paint. Ensures full compliance, operational performance, and continuous improvement across all Special Processes.

As Process Group Manager, you'll be responsible for leading Supervisory and support for Technical functions within the Process Group - covering Heat Treatment, Materials Testing, Shot Peening, Non‑Destructive Testing, Surface Finishes, and Paint.
Operational & Process Leadership:
- Maintain compliance of Special Processes, including health, safety, and environmental requirements. - Oversee production output, process recoveries, OLE and activity performance, and capacity/headcount planning. - Manage Process Group Capex and long‑term planning (MTP). - Lead process development and continuous improvement initiatives. - Support development of new technologies and processes to support business growth. - Manage process scrap and rectification within budget. - Coordinate with Maintenance to optimise plant performance. - Manage Supervisory and support for Technical activities across all Special Processes. - Support technical team with calibration of all plant and equipment within Special Processes.
Quality, Compliance & Auditing:
- Support NADCAP program audits and all compliance/customer process audits. - Hold regular Quality Meetings with the Manufacturing Quality Team. - Troubleshoot Special Process quality issues using structured problem‑solving (8D, QRQC). - Support Process Group specification, audit, and review programmes. - Support New Product Introduction, tooling, and DVI activities.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Interface with customers to ensure production deliverables are fully met. - Act as a key contributor within the Global Special Processes Team, sharing best practices. - Support Process Group project and investment planning processes. - Provide support for Technical guidance across the organisation.
What you'll bring:
- Expert knowledge of Special Processes technologies - Detailed understanding of materials and processes - Ability to develop procedures ensuring operational compliance - Ability to identify and support calibration requirements for Special Processes - Able to build relationships and use varied influencing strategies - Extensive experience in processing environments with proven people management and coaching skills. - Leadership & project management experience.
