Job Description

Reporting directly into our Head of Procurement and working with internal and external stakeholders, you will help to review our current practices and implement our approach to procurement. Here’s what we need from you;\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrepare and manage tender documentation and support evaluations.\n\nOrganise and manage meetings (e.g., Tender Working Party, Contract Review).\n\nMaintain supplier documentation and contracts database.\n\nLiaise with stakeholders, respond to queries, and provide advice.\n\nRequest benchmarking data from suppliers.\n\nManage and update supplier contracts register; review spend reports.\n\nSupport new procurement processes and communicate changes.\n\nComplete administrative tasks using Excel and other IT systems.\n\nCarry out other duties as directed by the Procurement Team.\n\nDemonstrate commercial awareness and promote company objectives.\n\nAttend relevant meetings and comply with policies.\n\nSafeguard and promote the welfare of children and people.\n\nFollow established practices, undertake training, and adapt to new systems.\n\nPerson Specification – Skills & Experience\n\nProven procurement management experience within multi-site organisations (education sector desirable).\n\nExperience with negotiating commercial contract terms\n\nAbility to manage multiple categories and deliver the full end-to-end tender process.\n\nStrong stakeholder and end-user focus.\n\nProject management capability; commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills.\n\nExperience in service procurement, contract administration, and supplier management.\n\nSkilled in identifying procurement risks and applying appropriate tender models.\n\nExcellent organisational and reporting skills.\n\nWhat we do for you\n\nWe know you’re going to do great things.
