Hours: 35 per week. We understand the importance of work-life balance and are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid. You will spend part of your week at home, and part of your week in our head office in Merchant City which has great public transport and discounted parking nearby.
What you’ll do
As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage end‑to‑end procurement activity across multiple projects and a variety of spend categories. Your work will be driven by end‑user requirements and a strong focus on achieving value for money while supporting environmental, social, and economic objectives, including community benefits, sustainability, and fair work practices.
You will lead procurements ranging from Quick Quotes to high‑value Open Tenders, delivering targeted savings and efficiencies while identifying opportunities to add value for Glasgow Life. To be successful in this role, candidates should have demonstrable experience in delivering procurement activity within the public sector.
Key responsibilities include engaging with stakeholders, conducting spend analysis, planning, and delivering a diverse range of procurement projects that support Glasgow Life’s organisational objectives.
Ideally, you will hold, or be working towards, the CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply or an equivalent recognised procurement qualification.
Who you are
