Role Overview
Our Production Managers are responsible for the planning and delivery of high-quality events for a diverse variety of shows and productions across all our venues. This role involves coordinating all aspects of production and managing a team of technicians and engineers across all production disciplines – including full time employees, freelancers and contractors. Whilst primarily working in the Here venue, there will also be involvement in The Lower Third, the Now spaces and across the District.
Key Responsibilities
Show and Event Delivery and Operation:
- Liaising with clients and promoters for live, corporate and music events
- Ability to deliver first-class production across all genres of event.
- Ensuring exacting delivery to fulfil the needs of the event and requirements of the artist or client.
- Remaining calm under pressure and resourceful in problem solving
- Having flexibility and ability to work with all manner of artists and clients
- Meticulous planning and scheduling for each event
- Accurate quoting and budgeting for each event,as well as procurement of additional equipment and resources in coordination with departmental managers.
Team Leadership & Coordination:
- Schedule full time and freelance staff to fulfil the requirements of all venues.
- Work with visiting teams across a variety of genres and event type.
- Co-ordinate and work with external production teams to ensure the smooth delivery of events and productions
- Briefing and managing local crew
- Co-ordination with other Production Managers, Operations and Event Sales teams
Equipment Maintenance & Management:
- Ensure that Production stores are tidy and well maintained
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of Production equipment as required
- Handle rentals and logistics for additional equipment/kit when needed.
- Co-ordinate house equipment across all venues.
Quality Control& Compliance:
- Continuously ensuring the highest quality delivery possible across all venues.
- Completing and filing RAMS for event specific tasks and operations
- Compiling and checking of RAMS from incoming suppliers, agencies and operators
Project & Budget Management:
- Populating and managing of event budgets, ensuring client sign-off of all chargeable extras
- Undertake quoting and procurement for the equipment and personnel required to deliver an event
- Reflection of final costs and client charges in the budget on the day of the event and ensuring these final figures are shared with the Venue Manager.
Other:
- Support the Head of Production with running of all Venues.
- Attend production, team and client meetings as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential Experience:
- Extensive experience in Production Management across a variety of event genres.
- Comprehensive understanding of all areas of Technical Production, including but not limited to; Audio, Video, Lighting, Staging/Rigging
- Experience of managing Production staff and Crew
- Ability to work with clients, promoters and artists to realise their Production needs
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with production control systems and networking
- Health and Safety training
- Understanding of industry trends and standards
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent Leadership, Guidance & Communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and calm under pressure
- Adaptable and pro-active with clients, driven to develop clients idea and goals.
- Solid organisational skills to manage schedules, resources and multiple simultaneous tasks.
