Production Operative Elastomeric Trimming (Aerospace Components)Pertemps are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy client, based in Reading.Rota: Monday to Friday, 08:30 -16:30 ShiftWe are looking for Production Operatives (Trimming) to support the finishing of elastomeric components, used in aerospace anti-vibration mounts. This is a precision-based role requiring a high level of attention to detail, consistency, and care in handling delicate parts in line with AS9100 quality standards.Key Responsibilities for a successful Production Operative:Trim elastomeric (rubber-based) components to defined specifications using hand tools and trimming equipmentRemove flash and excess material without damaging part geometry or surface integrityWork to engineering drawings, visual standards, and work instructionsCarry out 100% visual inspection of parts during and after trimmingIdentify and segregate non-conforming parts in line with quality proceduresMaintain traceability and correct part identification at all timesFollow strict cleanliness and handling requirements for aerospace componentsAccurately complete production and quality documentationEssential RequirementsPrevious experience in precision manufacturing, assembly, or finishing workStrong manual dexterity and ability to handle small/delicate componentsExcellent attention to detail and visual accuracyAbility to follow written instructions and technical drawingsGood understanding of quality standards and working to tight tolerancesReliable, consistent, and able to maintain focus on repetitive tasksDesirable ExperienceExperience working with rubber, elastomers, or composite materialsBackground in aerospace, automotive, or medical manufacturingFamiliarity with AS9100 / ISO9001 environmentsExperience using trimming knives, scalpels, or fine hand toolsKey BehavioursTakes pride in producing defect-free workPatient and methodical approachUnderstands the importance of doing it right first timeMaintains concentration over repetitive, detailed tasksWorking EnvironmentClean, controlled manufacturing environmentUse of magnification or inspection aids may be requiredPPE and safe handling practices must be followed at all timesIf you are interested in this Production Operative role, please apply with your CV now!JBRP1_UKTJ
