Production Operative Location: Redditch

Full-time/Permanent (Site-based) The Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join our team in Redditch. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling computer-based products to a high standard of quality, working from technical documentation and engineering drawings, and identifying and escalating any technical issues. You may also support other operational areas as required, making this a varied and hands-on position. Key Responsibilities Assemble computer-based products to required quality standards Interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings Identify and escalate technical issues where necessary Support other areas of operations as required About You You are a proactive and adaptable individual with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. You take pride in what you do, work well as part of a team, and are eager to learn and develop your skills. You will also bring a genuine interest in computer hardware, whether through professional experience or personal passion (for example, building PCs or gaming hardware). Key Skills & Competencies Good understanding of computer hardware components Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and applications High level of manual dexterity Physically fit and able (role involves hands-on activity) Organised, tidy, and efficient approach to work Strong teamwork and communication skills Willingness to learn and develop across a broad product range Ability to quickly pick up new skills through training and mentoring Flexible, positive, and can-do attitude Excellent attention to detail Strong work ethic with the ability to meet targets Desirable (Not Essential) Basic knowledge of BIOS (AMI, Phoenix) or UEFI configuration Basic Windows OS configuration experience Understanding of mechanical assembly Ability to read and interpret technical documentation or schematics Experience with soldering and cable harnessing (J-STD or IPC-620A preferred) About Us At Steatite, we build technology that performs where failure isnt an option.
