Job Title: General Operative (Engineering Background) - Tube & Joint Assembly Assistant Location: Bottesford Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 Pay Rate: Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience) This role is a permanent position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hands-on General Operative with an engineering background to join our team in Bottesford. This role involves supporting the Workshop Manager in the tube and joint assembly area, assisting with the preparation, assembly, and handling of components to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the assembly of tube and joint systems according to specificationsSupport the Workshop Manager with day-to-day operations in the assembly areaPrepare materials, tools, and components for productionCarry out basic engineering tasks including cutting, measuring, and fittingMaintain a clean, organised, and safe working environmentConduct quality checks to ensure work meets required standardsFollow health and safety procedures at all timesAssist with stock handling and movement of materials as requiredRequirements:Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environmentBasic understanding of engineering drawings and measurementsAbility to use hand and power tools safelyStrong work ethic and willingness to learnGood attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamDesirable:Experience working with tube and joint systems or similar assembliesForklift licence (not essential but advantageous)What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate up to £13.50Full-time, stable working hours (08:00-17:00)Supportive working environmentOpportunity to develop skills within an engineering setting20 days holiday + bank holidays Nest pension If you are a motivated individual with an engineering background looking for a practical, hands-on role, we would like to hear from you, please call Rubie on 07484 029332 or apply online now!JBRP1_UKTJ
