Get Staff are an independent agency based in the heart of Portsmouth, specialising in temporary recruitment across the Driving, M&E, and Engineering sectors. We are currently seeking a Production Operative on behalf of our client based in Chichester.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, reputable business where you’ll play a key part in maintaining high production and hygiene standards. We're looking for someone reliable, proactive, and physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Production Operative Role and Responsibilities:

· Working across all areas of production: loading lines, boxing, palletising, packing, and operating machinery

· Packing all products accurately to customer specifications

· Rotating stock and ensuring product traceability

· Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe production area at all times

· Carrying out clean-downs to the required hygiene standard

· Completing sign-off sheets correctly and on time

· Liaising with the Quality Control team to ensure high product standards

· Following all health & safety procedures and complying with HACCP and food hygiene regulations

· Taking ownership of tasks and ensuring they are carried out to completion

· Performing other duties as reasonably requested

Production Operative Skills and Experience:

· A Full UK Driving Licence (Essential due to location)

· Minimum 1 year of experience working in a production or warehouse environment

· Ability to work in chilled conditions and carry out occasional heavy lifting (up to 25kg)

· Familiarity with production equipment and food hygiene processes

· Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret product/customer requirements

· Ability to prioritise workload, self-motivate and work as part of a team

· Commitment to operating in line with company policies, safety protocols, and quality standards
