Impact Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Planner to join a specialist manufacturing business. This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Location: Wellingborough Salary: £30,000 per annum Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 Contract: Permanent The Role: As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing operations in a make-to-order environment, ensuring effective use of labour, materials, and equipment. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining detailed production schedules Planning output based on customer orders and project timelines Coordinating raw material requirements with supply chain teams Sequencing production to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules where necessary Maintaining accurate BOMs, routings, and lead times within ERP/MRP systems Tracking KPIs such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levels Collaborating closely with operations, engineering, quality, and sales teams Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across planning and production The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a Production Planner or Scheduling role within manufacturing Strong understanding of make-to-order or project-based environments Experience using ERP/MRP systems Advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities Benefits: Private healthcare Company-contributed pension 20 days annual leave Permanent, full-time position within a growing business If this role sounds of interest, please apply with an up-to-date CV.
