Project Buyer Engineering
Join a leading UK engineering group delivering large-scale water and mechanical systems projects. Were looking for a proactive Project Buyer to manage procurement for complex, high-value projects and keep materials flowing on time and on budget.
What Youll Do
Manage end-to-end procurement for project components and materials
Issue accurate purchase orders and track delivery performance (OTIF)
Run RFQs/RFPs, compare bids, and support supplier negotiations
Build strong supplier relationships and resolve delivery or quality issues
Ensure contracts, budgets, and compliance requirements are met
Maintain procurement documentation and keep ERP systems updated
Work closely with engineering, project management, quality, and logistics teams
What You Bring
Proven experience in a similar procurement or project-buying role
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Highly organised, detail-driven, and solutions-focused
Confident using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
