Our client, a global Aerospace systems manufacturer, is seeking an Electrical/Electro Mechanical Project Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team based in Slough. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and delivery of innovative electrical and mechanical products that support cutting-edge aerospace applications.\nYou’ll be responsible for leading new product development projects — from concept through to delivery — ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll bring together technical design expertise, project management capability, and a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.\nKey Responsibilities\n * \n Lead and support engineering development projects in line with company strategy and customer requirements.\n * \n Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities using structured engineering processes.\n * \n Define project objectives, create detailed project plans, and manage work packages to deliver key milestones.\n * \n Produce and maintain technical documentation, project dashboards, and progress reports.\n * \n Design and develop mechanical and electrical components using CATIA or similar CAD tools.\n * \n Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and implement corrective actions.\n * \n Apply “design for manufacture,” “design to cost,” and “design for inspection” principles.\n * \n Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical challenges.\n * \n Support R&D initiatives and contribute to new product concepts and technology roadmaps.\n * \n Ensure compliance with quality, health & safety, and environmental standards.\n * \n Occasional travel to customer and supplier sites in the UK and overseas.\nAbout You\n * \n Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).\n * \n Proven experience in project or design engineering within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.\n * \n Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles.\n * \n Skilled in CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent).\n * \n Experienced in project progress reporting, RFQs, and technical documentation.\n * \n Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\n * \n Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and interconnect products (advantageous).\n * \n Flexible to occasionally travel within the UK and internationally.\nWhat’s on Offer\n * \n Competitive salary and benefits package.\n * \n Opportunity to work with a globally recognised engineering brand.\n * \n Structured career development and professional training.\n * \n Collaborative and innovative working environment
