A Tier One Project Management and Engineering Consultancy requires a Project Engineer (Geotechnical) to support ongoing Network Rail projects across the UK. This is a fully REMOTE position, which may require some site or office visits from time to time.
The initial contract duration will be 6 months, although it is highly likely to be extended. This represents a great opportunity to secure a long-term, stable contract position.
You’ll be right for the position if you:
Hold a degree in Geotechnical Engineering (BEng or BSc)
Have experience in the management and assurance of projects to NR standards: RSE/02009, CIV/003
Have experience in:
Slope stability and seepage modelling analysis.
Design of foundations, piles, retaining walls, and embankments
Preparation of interpretive reports and CD 622 geotechnical reports
Supervision of construction activities such as large-scale geotechnical investigations, earthworks compaction, and foundation construction.
Other areas of responsibility:
Lead compliance with Network Rail engineering-driven safety requirements and provide technical advice, conditions and approvals consistent with Network Rail policies and standards on allocated schemes.
Manage the mitigation of engineering and safety risks to the railway associated with proposed and real-time outside and third-party activities.
Provide technical advice in respect of all engineering design, safe by design, technical specification and construction activities for safe delivery, including testing and commissioning and site supervision.
