We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to support The Lily Foundation, the UK’s leading mitochondrial disease charity, reporting directly to the CEO.
This is a unique chance to lead the foundational phase of the UK Mitochondrial Disease Research Institute (UKMDRI)—a landmark initiative that will transform the landscape of mitochondrial disease research in the UK. If you're looking for a high-impact, strategic role where your work will directly influence the future of medical research, this is it.
As part of this exciting role, you will define and implement the operational and governance framework for the UKMDRI, engage with leading stakeholders across science, healthcare, and policy, and help secure the funding and partnerships needed to launch the Institute. This is a rare opportunity to shape a national research platform from the ground up.
To be successful as a Project Manager, you will need:
Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to launch
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse sectors
Demonstrated ability to develop governance structures, strategic roadmaps, and funding proposals
