42-Week Contract | Worthing Decarbonisation Project We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major building services decarbonisation project in Worthing . This 42-week contract will focus on the removal of gas-fired heating systems and installation of new hybrid HVRF and ventilation systems, while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations and working operations. Project Overview The project forms part of a wider programme to decarbonise the estate and will involve: Removal of gas boilers used for water and space heating
Replacement of redundant HVRF system
Installation of new hybrid HVRF systems across multiple floors
Careful planning to ensure least possible disruption to building users
Key Work Elements Decommissioning and removal of redundant HVRF system serving the ground floor
Decommissioning and removal of existing ground floor ventilation system
Decommissioning gas boilers and central hot water calorifier, strip-out of redundant boiler room plant and making good
Draining down and removal of redundant LTHW radiators throughout the building
Supply and installation of new MVHR ventilation units to ground-floor ceilings, including grilles, diffusers and weather louvres
Supply and installation of new hybrid HVRF systems to serve ground floor and unserved first/second floor rooms
Installation of new LST radiators to replace removed LTHW radiators
Installation of semi-storage local water heaters to replace central hot water system provision
Responsibilities Overall project leadership and delivery management
Programme planning and coordination of trades and subcontractors
Stakeholder management including liaison with DWP representatives and site users
Ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance at all stages
Quality assurance, progress reporting and commercial control
Maintaining operations continuity with minimal disruption
Requirements Proven experience as a Project Manager on building services/M&E or decarbonisation projects
Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and hybrid HVRF/MVHR systems
Excellent planning, coordination and communication skills
Experience working in live/occupied environments preferred
Ability to manage complex programmes and multiple workstreams
SMSTS, FIRST AID, CSCS REQUIRED
