You'd be project managing all manner of new-build developments and refurbishments, mainly industrial-led with some retail in there too, for some large and impressive blue-chip clients. You’ll be the lead on all of the contract administration on JCT Design & Build contracts, acting as Employer’s Agent, or taking on even more responsibility as the projects go on. It’s as close to being client-side as you can get without actually working for them.

Ideally you'll have a consultancy or developer background as a project manager, quantity surveyor or similar, and have some experience with new build projects, industrial or retail-led. You need to be able to work autonomously on projects and deal with client needs as and when they ask for them. But in return you'll be paid a leading salary and given the scope to work the way you want to.
