Job Description
Project Manager – Must have Steel Structures or Steel Fabrication experience
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in steel fabrication or structural steel projects to lead the successful delivery of multiple contracts from tender stage through to completion. This is a key role in ensuring projects are executed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
As a central member of the delivery team, you’ll work closely with Design, Engineering, Commercial and Production colleagues, taking full ownership of project performance across programme, cost, risk, change and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage projects end‑to‑end, from pre‑qualification and tender through to handover and final close‑out. Develop and maintain detailed project programmes (MS Project). Lead project kick‑off, review and close‑out meetings. Oversee budgets, cashflow, cost forecasting and manage variations. Control contractual change, including early warnings, compensation events and amendments. Identify, assess and mitigate project risks. Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with high safety and quality standards. Support production of RAMS, ITPs, lift plans and other delivery documentation. Carry out site visits, client meetings and supplier reviews. Champion continuous improvement and drive best practice across the business.
About You
Proven project management experience within steel fabrication, structural steel, or a related engineering environment. Strong communicator with the confidence to lead teams and manage clients and stakeholders effectively. Highly organised, commercially aware and able to work independently with full project ownership. Proficient in MS Project.
