Project Manager\n\nPortsmouth, Hampshire\n\nFull-Time\n\nAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager with a background in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Building Services. You’ll be joining a well-established and fast-growing engineering firm delivering high-quality projects across the UK and internationally.\n\nThis is a fantastic chance to be part of a forward-thinking organisation operating across a diverse range of sectors including Defence, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Government Agencies.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Manage multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. Up to £2m in value.\n\n * Develop and manage detailed project programmes and schedules\n\n * Maintain quality standards and ensure all technical specifications are met\n\n * Organise and maintain comprehensive project documentation\n\n * Oversee and implement all health and safety requirements, including risk assessments, method statements, COSHH, and permit-to-work systems\n\n * Liaise effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors\n\n * Proactively manage project scope and variations to ensure commercial success\n\n * Accurately estimate labour and materials, and produce regular project progress reports\n\n * Attend site visits as required\n\nAbout You\n\n * Proven experience managing M&E or construction-related projects\n\n * Good understanding of building services\n\n * Excellent organisational, communication, and client-facing skills\n\n * Confident managing people and coordinating with subcontractors\n\n * Commercially aware with experience in project finances and variation control\n\n * Capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications\n\n * Full UK driving licence required\n\n * Willingness to travel as necessary\n\n * Security clearance would be an advantage\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Salary up to £60,000\n\n * Performance-based bonus scheme\n\n * Car allowance\n\n * Company laptop and mobile phone\n\n * Death-in-service benefit\n\n * Supportive and dynamic working environment\n\nThis role is perfect for someone technically strong and commercially astute, who thrives on managing complex projects and delivering to a high standard.
