Project Manager – Major Infrastructure Project (A417 Missing Link)

Rhino Recruitment are working with a prestigious construction client to appoint an experienced Project Manager for a flagship infrastructure scheme – the A417 Missing Link.

This high-profile project will upgrade a 7km stretch of single carriageway into a dual carriageway, removing a critical bottleneck between the M4 and M5. The scheme is vital to improving safety, reducing congestion, and delivering more reliable journeys across the South West, while carefully managing the surrounding Cotswold landscape.

The Role

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of this complex construction project. You’ll lead site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

* Full project ownership from mobilisation through to delivery

* Manage programme, resources, and site teams

* Monitor costs, labour, and plant against budget

* Identify and manage variations alongside the Quantity Surveyor

* Act as the main client interface on-site

* Lead coordination meetings and provide progress reporting

* Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance

* Manage temporary works including design briefs and installation

* Ensure quality standards and compliance with RAMS and QHSE requirements

Key Requirements

* Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects as a Project Manager

* Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and change management

* Experience with formwork and temporary works

* Demonstrated leadership and site management capability

* Strong programme management and problem-solving skills

* Experience in marine or tidal environments (desirable, not essential)
