Due to continued business growth and a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager with experiance in the "Energy from Waste" industry to join our Operations team in Walsall.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of the works package, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

This is a key leadership role working closely with site teams, subcontractors, clients and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Develop and manage construction programmes to ensure timely project delivery.
• Oversee procurement and material reconciliation in line with company procedures.
• Monitor progress, budgets, resources and look-ahead programmes.
• Attend tender, handover, pre-start and progress meetings.
• Ensure effective subcontractor engagement and coordination.
• Provide regular updates to the Contracts Manager and Operations Director.
• Chair project meetings and ensure accurate records are maintained.
• Act as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) in accordance with BS 5975:2019.

Health, Safety & Environmental

• Lead by example in promoting strong health & safety standards on site.
• Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and company HSQE procedures.
• Allocate and monitor safety responsibilities across site teams.
• Maintain site documentation including toolbox talks, briefings and statutory checks.
• Support investigations into incidents and implement preventative measures.
• Prepare project-specific RAMS and safety plans where required.

Quality & Technical

• Ensure ITPs, QA documentation and O&M manuals are prepared and maintained.
• Manage RFIs and technical queries in line with programme requirements.
• Maintain strong knowledge of groundworks, drainage, rebar and RC frame construction.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering where appropriate.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Ensure effective communication across all project stakeholders.

About You

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within Groundworks, Civil Engineering or RC Frame projects
• Strong knowledge of construction programme management and site operations
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations and construction health & safety
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
