We’re working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit a Project Manager for a major infrastructure programme in the North West, with a particular focus on shaft sinking and heavy civils within the water sector.
This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term career development, with a secured project pipeline and the chance to lead high-impact work from design through to handover.
Key Responsibilities: • Oversee the full lifecycle of shaft sinking and civils projects – from feasibility, design, and construction through to commissioning • Manage project budgets, schedules (P6), and performance reporting • Lead coordination across consultants, subcontractors, and in-house teams • Ensure full compliance with NEC contracts, including early warnings and compensation events • Champion safety, quality, and environmental performance on site • Produce and manage RAMS, ITPs, and other project documentation • Contribute to tendering and planning for future works
Requirements: • Proven experience managing shaft sinking or deep excavation projects (essential) • HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts • Proficient with Primavera P6 or similar planning software • Valid SMSTS...
