Our Smart Hub is an audience-focused team working across innovative publishing lists on imprints WH Allen, Witness Books, Ebury Edge, Ebury Press, and Flight Books. Within this non-fiction team, we publish prize-winning bestsellers by global leading writers, thinkers, journalists, and cultural figures across genres such as history, politics, literary memoir, nature-writing, high performance, self-development, and more. Our authors include James OBrien, Steven Bartlett, Caitlin Moran, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Ressa, Michael Rosen, Zeinab Badawi, David Attenborough, Michaela Coel, Dara McAnulty, Adam Grant, and others. The role Eburys Smart Hub is looking for a creative, experienced, and proactive PR professional with experience working on conversation-starting books or entertainment brands to join our award-winning communications team as a publicist. You will work with some of the most creative publishing colleagues in a friendly and inclusive environment, joining at an exciting moment of growth for the UKs largest dedicated non-fiction publisher. Key responsibilities Develop and execute ambitious, strategic PR campaigns and events for authors and titles across various non-fiction genres. Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders, including sales, marketing, editorial, rights, international colleagues, authors, and agents. Build and maintain relationships with high-profile stakeholders such as media, bookshops, and event partners. Contribute to the acquisition of new books by providing PR feedback in meetings and pitches, and input into the overall strategic priorities of the Smart Hub. What youll bring Essential criteria: A proven track record of creating standout publicity campaigns in publishing or content-driven environments. Excellent writing skills for press materials, event organization, and media networking. Well-established media contacts and a curiosity for expanding your network across genres. Highly organized with strong prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Creative thinking to generate buzz and drive book sales aligned with strategic goals. Hybrid working Our offices are in London, and we expect attendance at least 2 days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
