Job Description

QA Automation Engineer

Location: West Midlands, hybrid (1-2 days onsite a week)

Salary: £50,000 - £70,000

Key technologies: TypeScript & Playwright

The role:

We're proud to be working with a market-leading software company in the West Midlands, currently going through an exciting period of growth. To ensure continued success, they are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to strengthen their software testing function.

They offer flexible working hours and a hybrid policy with 1-2 days in the office a week. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing tech company with ambitious plans for the future of their products.

You will primarily be using TypeScript & PlayWright, whilst working with their talented software development and product teams to create advanced API-integrated automated testing scripts and frameworks.

They are looking for the following:

Strong, demonstrable experience in creating automated testing scripts using JavaScript and TypeScript. Knowledge of other programming is also beneficial. Expertise in PlayWright, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks and tools. In-depth experience of API testing, ideally with 3rd party systems and integrations. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and microservices. The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload.
