Job Description

Job Title: QHSE Engineer (Specialist Offshore Engineering) - Drive Quality, Not Just Compliance

Location: Great Yarmouth

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 + £3,000 Car Allowance

Sector: Bespoke Offshore and Subsea Engineering

The Reality Check: Most Quality roles are about ticking boxes and filling in forms for things that have already happened. You are often seen as a \"blocker\" rather than a contributor, brought in only when something goes wrong.

The Opportunity: I am representing an offshore engineered solutions provider in Great Yarmouth that is looking for a proactive QHSE Engineer. This is not just a \"clipboard\" role. You will be integrated into the full project lifecycle, from initial bids and design reviews to supplier audits and final equipment release.

Why This Role is Different:

  • Technical Integration: You will actively participate in Design and Project reviews, ensuring quality is built-in from the start.

  • Project Variety: You will support major CapEx projects involving complex offshore structures, drilling, and subsea equipment.

  • Global Reach: While based in Great Yarmouth, you will provide QHSE support for projects delivered locally and globally.

  • Real Influence: You will lead project improvement activity, managing non-conformance processes to closure and driving better \"Cost of Quality.\"

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Developing and improving project-related quality processes within the QMS.

  • Producing Quality Inspection Test Plans (ITP) for high-value projects and tenders.

  • Conducting supplier audits and witness testing to ensure the highest standards.

  • Managing the formal release of equipment and materials from suppliers.

  • Supporting the QHSE Team Leader in delivering sustainability targets and KPIs.

Who You Are:

  • You have a strong background in QHSE within a project-led engineering environment (Offshore, Subsea, or Energy experience is ideal).

  • You are comfortable with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

  • You have the confidence to challenge professionally and influence others to maintain high standards.

  • You are highly organized and can deal with shifting priorities and timelines.

The Rewards:

  • Base Salary: £38k - £40k (dependent on experience).

  • Car Allowance: £3,000 per annum.

  • Professional Growth: Opportunity to work on major international energy projects.

  • Culture: A collaborative environment that takes pride in meeting objectives and delivering quality solutions.
