Ethical Compliance Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Ethical Compliance Manager to join a growing and forward-thinking professional services firm.

This is a pivotal role within the business, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key part in safeguarding the organisations integrity, regulatory compliance and professional standards.

The Role

Working closely with Partners and senior leadership, you will take ownership of ethical governance and compliance across the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance on ethical queries in line with regulatory standards
  • Managing and resolving conflicts of interest and risk-related issues
  • Overseeing client complaints, staff grievances and disciplinary matters
  • Advising on engagement terms, contractual risk and dispute resolution (ADR)
  • Liaising with professional bodies (e.g. ICAEW) and handling regulatory matters
  • Managing professional indemnity processes including claims and renewals
  • Ensuring compliance with AML regulations and internal policies
  • Applying FRC Ethical Standards and IESBA Code of Ethics across the business
  • Supporting legal processes where required (e.g. small claims, insolvency matters)
  • Maintaining accurate compliance records and supporting audits and reviews

This is a broad and influential role covering ethics, risk, governance and compliance at a senior level.

About You

Were looking for a credible and confident professional with strong judgement and the ability to manage complex situations:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of FRC Ethical Standards and IESBA Code of Ethics
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies such as ICAEW
  • Solid understanding of AML and compliance frameworks
  • Experience handling conflicts, complaints or dispute resolution
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Professional, discreet and able to manage sensitive matters
