This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to play a key role in improving product quality and customer satisfaction within a complex manufacturing environment. You will work closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams to embed robust quality systems and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Description
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement and maintain in‑process quality control plans, procedures and work instructions across all key manufacturing stages
Conduct inspections, testing and internal audits to identify non‑conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented before product release
Ensure products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements and ISO 9001 standards
Lead structured root cause analysis using tools such as 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, SPC and MSA
Validate corrective and preventive actions to ensure long‑term effectiveness and sustained improvement
Work closely with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues, reduce scrap and rework, and improve process capability
Support the introduction and qualification of new materials, components and manufacturing processes
Analyse quality KPIs and data trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Support or oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T) and maintain full product and material traceability
Maintain accurate quality documentation, inspection records and test reports
Assist with customer audits, third‑party inspections and certification activities
Provide guidance and training to production teams on quality standards and best practice
Support supplier quality investigations and improvement activityProfile
The successful candidate
Holds an Apprenticeship, HND, Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline
Has 3-5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering role within mechanical or electrical manufacturing (heavy engineering experience is highly advantageous)
Possesses strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
Is proficient in problem‑solving tools such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA and root cause analysis techniques
Demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical data
Is confident working cross‑functionally and engaging with shop‑floor teams, engineers and senior stakeholdersJob Offer
