Contek are working with a high precision engineering company in King's Lynn who are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector, reporting to the Production Manager. This role is with an expanding and highly respected precision engineering company with an exciting future and strong growth prospects. The company specialises in the manufacture of high precision CNC machined metal and plastic components, supporting industries such as scientific instrumentation, aerospace, specialist automotive, defence, medical and other high technology sectors. Working hours are a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm, with the opportunity for overtime based on operational requirements. With a long-standing history in precision engineering, the business partners with leading technology companies to manufacture complex components to extremely tight tolerances, from prototype through to production volumes. The company operates a modern CNC machining facility and a dedicated inspection department utilising advanced metrology equipment including CMM systems programmed directly from CAD data. The Role The primary purpose of this role is to support manufacturing operations through the inspection and verification of high precision CNC machined components, ensuring all parts meet drawing specifications, customer requirements and quality standards. You will work closely with machinists and production teams to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process, supporting both in-process and final inspection activities. Key Responsibilities Inspection of precision machined components to engineering drawings and CAD data Use of CMM equipment (ideally with Aberlink software

training can be provided) to verify complex components Utilising a range of precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, shadowgraphs and surface measurement tools Carrying out First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and supporting quality documentation Supporting non-conformance processes including NCR and CAR investigations Ensuring inspection strategies are efficient and completed within planned timeframes Working closely with machinists and production teams to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing process Ensuring all quality procedures, standards and accreditations are adhered to at all times Supporting continuous improvement of inspection and quality processes Secondary Tasks (where required) Supporting dimensional verification during new product introduction or prototype manufacture Assisting with investigation of non-conformances and root cause analysis Supporting production teams with measurement advice and interpretation of engineering drawings Personal Attributes Required A can do and proactive attitude Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances Experience working with precision machined components Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines Good communication and teamwork skills A strong sense of urgency and commitment to delivering high quality products on time
