Quality Manager
£50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits
I'm recruiting for a well-established manufacturer in Southampton that's looking to bring in an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of site quality and help shape how quality is embedded across the business.
This is a hands-on role with real visibility, suited to someone who enjoys being close to production, engineering, and customers rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
What You'll Be Doing
Owning and maintaining the Quality Management System in line with AS9100 and ISO 9001
Leading internal, external, and customer audits and ensuring actions are closed out properly
Supporting teams with root cause analysis, CAPA, and practical problem-solving
Keeping quality procedures and documentation current and fit for purpose
Overseeing inspection activities across incoming, in-process, and final stages
Working closely with production and engineering to build quality in from the start
Acting as the main quality contact for aerospace customers
Monitoring quality performance and driving continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Around 5+ years' experience in a Quality Management role within aerospace manufacturing
Solid working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001
Comfortable leading audits and dealing directly with customers
Experience running or improving a QMS in a real manufacturing environment
Someone practical, organised, and confident working across departments
Nice to Have
Experience with special processes
Engineering or Quality qualification (Degree or HND)
Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma
The Package
£50,000 - £60,000 basic salary
