Due to continued growth and a strong land bank of secured sites, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team, supporting major residential developments across the region.
Projects typically consist of large multi-phase schemes of 200+ units, including a mix of private sale, affordable housing, and infrastructure works. Developments often include associated roads, utilities, landscaping, and community amenities.
This scale of work provides long-term project exposure, commercial ownership, and the opportunity to be involved in developments from land acquisition through to final handover.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for residential developments from pre-construction through to final account and handover. You will play a key role in ensuring financial performance, managing risk, and supporting the successful delivery of large-scale housing schemes.
Key responsibilities include:
Full commercial management of large residential schemes (200+ units)
Cost planning, feasibility input, and budget control from early stages
Procurement and management of subcontractor packages (groundworks, infrastructure, housing)
Contract administration (JCT experience essential)
Valuations, variations, and final accounts
Cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management
Value engineering and cost optimisation across developments
Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
Liaising with internal teams including land, planning, technical, and production

To be considered, you will ideally have:
Around 8-12 years' experience within a residential developer or main contractor environment
Strong experience working on large-scale housing developments or multi-unit residential schemes
A clear career progression from Assistant / Intermediate QS
Strong knowledge of JCT forms of contract
Experience managing groundworks, infrastructure, and housing packages
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
The ability to manage large, multi-phase schemes independently
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
This role would suit a commercially driven QS with residential experience who is confident taking ownership of large developments and working within a structured, forward-thinking developer environment.
