Their continued success has created an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to become part of their growing Scottish operation.
Your new role As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll join a collaborative and high‑performing cost management team, taking responsibility for delivering end‑to‑end commercial support across a varied portfolio of projects. Your work will include a blend of:
Cost & Commercial Management
Preparing cost plans and feasibility studies at early design stages
Managing procurement strategies, tender processes and contractor negotiations
Producing BOQs, tender documentation, and cost reports
Forecasting budgets, cashflow and commercial risk
Supporting value engineering and strategic decision‑making
Managing change control, variations and valuations
Assisting with contract administration under NEC and JCT forms
Client & Project Engagement
Acting as a consistent, trusted point of contact for clients
Attending design team and progress meetings
Building strong relationships across consultant, contractor and stakeholder teams
Supporting senior colleagues on major, complex schemes
Helping to drive innovation, sustainability and best practice within project delivery
You will see projects from inception through completion, gaining wide exposure and the autonomy to shape workstreams, influence decisions and further develop your technical expertise.

Large, modern Grade A office buildings for global occupiers
Regeneration of major urban districts into vibrant mixed‑use communities
Transformation of heritage assets into cultural and public‑facing spaces
Delivery of cutting‑edge research, innovation and life‑science facilities
Complex infrastructure and public realm schemes
Sustainable, next‑ residential and student living developments
Major civic investment projects in partnership with public‑sector bodies
These schemes often involve pioneering sustainability initiatives, advanced building technologies, and multi‑phase development strategies – offering you excellent professional growth.
What you'll need to succeed To thrive in this role, you should bring:
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within consultancy or a client‑side environment
Strong understanding of construction costs, commercial management and procurement
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Confidence working in client‑facing situations
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS chartership (or actively working toward it) is beneficial but not essential.
A proactive, solutions‑focused attitude and a genuine interest in delivering high‑quality work
