Job Description
Our client, a leading firm in the water sector, is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves providing commercial support to project teams, maintaining commercial information, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and the company's objectives. You will engage with customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of variations, claims, and additional payments.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nEnsure robust, accurate, and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit levels\nEnsure accurate cash flow reporting takes place\nCarry out cost management, including forecasting\nUpdate the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans\nEnsure that internal commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit\nActively seek to improve processes and procedures \n\nJob Requirements:\n\nEssential:\n\nExperience in the utilities or construction industry\nDegree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)\nFamiliarity with NEC forms of contract and understanding of Construction Law\nExperience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors\nKnowledge of monthly reporting and earned value analysis\nExperience in estimation and cost analysis\nExcellent communication, numeric, and computer literacy skills\nOrganisation and time management skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines\nAbility to work effectively in a team and delegate, but also able to work on own initiativeDesirable:\n\nMember of RICS or other relevant professional body, or working towards\nCSCS card \n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive salary\nCompany Pension\nLife Assurance\nPrivate Medical\nProfit share scheme\n25 days of annual leave in addition to 8 public bank holidays and loyalty days\nFlexible benefits via salary sacrifice\nCompany car/green car scheme/car allowance/ \n\nIf you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a new opportunity to develop your career, we would love to hear from you.
