Working on behalf of our client based in Oswestry, we are hiring for a Quantity Surveyor experience in civil engineering. Key Duties Manage commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts. Cost control and forecasting across multiple sites. Identify and manage variations and changes to scope. Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management. Prepare and present monthly cost/value reports to senior management. Maintain compliance with contractual and financial procedures. Work collaboratively with operational and client teams Attend site visits ensuring products are arriving on time and being ordered in advance What we are looking for Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, ideally with exposure to water and/or highways projects Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs, valuations, and subcontractor accounts effectively Experience working on infrastructure projects, including knowledge of NEC contracts (or similar) Ability to carry out regular site visits, liaising with site teams and stakeholders to ensure commercial control is maintained Full UK driving licence is essential due to site travel requirements Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar ( but not essential depending on experience) What our client can offer in return Competitive salary circa £60,000, depending on experience Opportunity to work on major civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the region Long-term career progression within a well-established and growing business Supportive and collaborative working environment Exposure to a varied portfolio of projects within water, highways, and general civils Pension scheme
