Quantity Surveyor - Rail - North West - Permanent\n\nQuantity Surveyor currently required to join a large rail and civil engineering contractor based in the North West. The works are varied, but will mainly consist of civil engineering works in a railway environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rail projects including structure replacements, platform extension works, drainage works and other associated civils works.\n\nRequirements:\n\nDegree qualified, within commercial Management, Quantity Surveying or associated subject\nMinimum of 3 years post-qualified experience with a civil or rail contractor\nAble to demonstrate a good understand of all commercial requirements in relation to delivering large civil engineering projects\nGood understanding of multi-disciplinary railway projects, collating data from various sources\nExcellent understanding of NEC forms of contract\n\nThe role will involve:\n\nDay-to-day commercial management of a number of railway/civil engineering projects\nEnsuring all commercial reporting is undertaken in a timely manner\nAssisting with pricing, take-off's, tender documentation where required\nProducing CVR's and application's for payments\nPreparing final accounts\n\nPermanent opportunity:\n\nSalary will be dependent upon experience\nAnnual leave entitlement increases with service\nCompany vehicle options\nNumerous CPD opportunities\n\nThis role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take the next step in their career.
