Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor

on a

permanent basis . This contractor has a strong reputation across

Yorkshire , delivering a range of

civil engineering and infrastructure projects

including highways, groundworks, utilities, and general civils. With a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are expanding their commercial team. The Role

As

Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor , you will take responsibility for the

commercial management of civil engineering projects

from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with project managers and site teams, ensuring strong cost control and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle. This role would suit: A

Senior Quantity Surveyor

seeking a stable regional contractor

Responsibilities

Full commercial management of civil engineering projects

Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control

Valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts

Subcontractor procurement, management, and payments

Managing variations, change control, and commercial risk

Contract administration (NEC experience preferred)

Supporting project delivery teams on commercial matters

Mentoring junior staff (Senior QS level)

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience as a

Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor

Experience working for a

civil engineering contractor

Background in highways, infrastructure, utilities, groundworks, or general civils

Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

NEC contract experience advantageous

Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience

Strong communication and negotiation skills

Full UK driving licence
