Job Description

The Business:

Our Client are a forward thinking, growing main contractor who have successfully been delivering new build and refurbishment projects in around the M25 for several years. As part of a wider business, they are financially very secure as a business and have a clear path of their business growth.


They are now looking to hire an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a newly awarded North London project.

£15 Million, New Build Care Home

JCT Design & Build

Autumn 2025 start date

North London


Duties:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Procure subcontractors, suppliers, and materials in line with project timelines and specifications
  • Administer contracts, including JCT contract forms, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
  • Conduct regular cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
  • Monitor and manage project expenditure to ensure it stays within budget
  • Prepare and agree interim valuations, final accounts, and variations
  • Liaise with the project team, design consultants, and client to ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the build process
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor claims and payments
  • Support value engineering initiatives to optimise build costs without compromising quality
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations from a commercial perspective
  • Attend regular site meetings and provide commercial advice to the project team
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and contractual purposes
