Quantity Surveyor

Location: London / South East

We are working with a leading main contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the commercial, mixed-use, and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective cost control and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing project costs from inception to completion
• Supporting procurement and subcontractor package management
• Preparing and reviewing valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Monitoring budgets and providing accurate cost reporting
• Working closely with site and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
• Experience delivering construction projects across commercial, industrial, or mixed-use sectors
• Strong understanding of JCT contracts
• Good commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Degree qualified or equivalent (preferred)
