We are supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor to join a high-performing commercial team delivering major water and wastewater capital works across the Thames Water frameworks.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering or utilities to step into a key role on high-value infrastructure projects. The position will be based in the London area, with a strong pipeline of work, career progression, and a people-first culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead commercial management of water infrastructure projects from inception to final account.
*
Procure and manage subcontractors, contract terms, risk, and scope.
*
Collaborate with project and client teams to manage change control, EWNs, and variations.
*
Prepare cost value reconciliations (CVRs), payment applications, and cost forecasts.
*
Mentor and support Assistant Quantity Surveyors within the team.
*
Use NEC and bespoke contract terms in line with capital delivery frameworks.

Infrastructure / major water treatment works
About You:
*
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
*
Experience working for a contractor in the utilities or civil engineering sector
*
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of NEC contracts
