Quantity Surveyor – Higher Education & Residential Projects
London | £40,000–£55,000 + Benefits
Conrad Consulting is working with a highly respected, forward‑thinking construction consultancy to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to their growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious QS—ideally MRICS or working toward chartership—to take on a diverse portfolio of meaningful, design‑led projects.
The Opportunity
You’ll play a key role across a blend of university and residential schemes, contributing to projects that genuinely shape communities and enhance the built environment. The work spans:
University estates – refurbishment, re‑purposing and modernisation of academic and research facilities
Residential developments – a mix of high‑end towers and local authority housing programmes
This role offers the chance to work with clients who value quality, collaboration and long‑term relationships, while gaining exposure to both complex refurbishments and large‑scale new‑build schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver cost management services across all project stages
Prepare cost plans, estimates, tender documentation and contract administration
Support senior team members on major schemes while independently managing smaller projects
Engage confidently with clients, design teams and contractors
Contribute to best‑practice processes and continuous improvement within the team
About You
Ideally MRICS, or progressing toward chartership
Experience in residential and/or education projects, particularly refurb or re‑purposing
Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, detail‑driven approach
Confident communicator who enjoys client interaction
Keen to develop professionally within a supportive, high‑performing consultancy
